    Brighton Housing Trust (Q&A)

    BHT is a registered charity providing services to homeless and vulnerable men and women in Brighton and Hove and across East Sussex. Our mission is: to combat homelessness, create opportunities and promote change.

    We work across many different communities of interest with people who are disadvantaged and vulnerable, including with men and women who are homeless and insecurely housed, people with mental health problems, drug and alcohol addiction, disadvantaged young people, long-term unemployed people, ex-offenders and people currently in contact with the criminal justice system and those who have experienced domestic violence or sexual abuse. Last year BHT provided services to just under 10,000 vulnerable men and women across East Sussex.

    Sea Shepherd UK (Q&A)

    Sea Shepherd UK is a registered marine conservation charity whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife around the UK’s coastline and across the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

    Hammer & Tongue - Bringing you the Best in Performance Poetry!

    Hammer & Tongue are the UK’s poetry slam people, making new champions and promoting the best in touring Spoken Word. We’re really excited to have Hammer & Tongue showcase hour on saturday, featuring Anna Freeman, Sally Jenkinson & Wilf Merttens. Whilst on Sunday Hammer & Tongue will be hostings a OPEN POETRY SLAM! Come and take part in one of Hammer & Tongue’s legendary poetry slams for a chance to win a place in this year’s annual grand final! Bring your poems and get involved!     Beach Hut Writers (literature)

    Beach Hut Writers is a collection of published authors who are variously energised, distracted and inspired by the UK’s liveliest seaside city. Originally brought together by their love for the written word, they now boast nearly 40 members, and cover almost every genre, from fantasy to crime and non-fiction to poetry.

    Revolution #10 (Performance)

    Revolution #10 is an evolving artwork about the importance of democracy by Brighton based artist Joseph Young (AKA Giuseppe Marinetti). Joseph asked the public three simple questions about democracy and their answers form the basis of a radical sound collage and a political acceptance speech. Together they form ‘A People’s Manifesto’.

    ACTION 2015

    ‘Round the world in 30 minutes: the BIG development quiz’

    This will be an interactive and fun quiz on why 2015 is such an important year for people and planet.

    The Bond VW campervan will be at TTP15, bringing with it lots of fun activities – pose for the camera in a life size cut-out of our people and planet superheroes, and chat with your local MP about the changes you want to see.

    Come and chat to volunteers, supporters and organisations including VSO, Results, Y Care International, Water Aid, Hub Cymru Africa, Progressio, One, South West International Development Network, Sightsavers and NIDOS. We’ll also have films and stories from around the world, and lots of information about the new Sustainable Development Goals!
