Jacko Hooper
Brighton born songwriter Jacko Hooper has gone from the bedroom to stages across Europe since releasing his debut tracks online in 2012.
A soulful, emotive voice combined with his guitar and keys has seen Jacko quickly gain a hardcore army of followers all around the world.
Seeking influence from personal triumph and tragedy, Jacko’s honest songs and performance are all too easy to fall for.
From scribing poems at the age of 10, Jacko quickly found himself putting these to melody and was writing and performing from the age of 12.
In May 2016 he released his new EP ‘After The Storm’ which followed on from tour supports for James Bay, Chet Faker, Russian Red, Frances, SOAK, Foxes and a support slot for James Blunt at Brighton’s biggest venue - the 5,500 capacity Brighton Centre.
He was also recently invited to perform at one of the country’s most prestigious rooms, The Royal Festival Hall in London, to celebrate and represent upcoming talent in music.
With close to a million views on YouTube, over quarter of a million plays on Spotify and hundreds of thousands of plays on Soundcloud he is going from strength to strength and 2016 looks like a year to keep a close eye on the troubadour.
